Self-taught DIY'er Chris Ashton of Ruffian Cars is making waves with just his second build, a highly modified GT40 replica with tons of unique touches.

Good, because what it really is, is tuner Superformance's idea of a future GT40. It has come up with this custom build tribute to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ford's now-famous 1968 Le Mans win.

CAV's GT40 is offered with a modern Ford V8 engine, but some prefer to buy customized engines in their home market. With only eight people in its workshop, the automaker exports 15 cars a year.
