The collision between flight AA5342 and a military black hawk helicopter claimed the lives of 67 people Wednesday night.

Flights continued to be cancelled in the U.S. on Wednesday, as the historic winter storm that hit Louisiana, Texas and other Gulf Coast states continued spreading for a second day.

A rare winter storm charging through Texas and the northern Gulf Coast on Tuesday has closed highways and airports and prompted the first blizzard warning for southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana.
