The PGA Tour's West Coast swing hits the halfway point at this week's Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California. The tournament tees off Wednesday and wraps up Saturday to avoid competing with the NFL's conference championship games on Sunday.

The tournament was scheduled to take place from Feb. 13 to 16 at The Riviera Country Club, which is in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The Genesis Invitational, which is hosted by Tiger Woods, is among the PGA Tour’s eight “signature” events, with limited fields of the tour’s top players and increased prize money. Its $20 million payout is more than double the $9.3 million being offered this year at the Farmers.

Wildfires in the Los Angeles area forced a relocation of this year’s Genesis to Torrey Pines, which is hosting a Tour event this week.

Golfweek has learned that the PGA Tour is in the final stages of negotiations to move the 2025 Genesis Invitational to Torrey Pines in La Jolla.
