After the murders, Gov. Tim Walz called for "grace and compassion and vision and compromise and decency." Some on the right chose a different course.
Walz and the rest of the Minnesota hierarchy have been getting slammed with criticism for a statistical rise in crime, and some of that heat is coming from former NFL and Minnesota State football star Jack Brewer. Brewer recently criticized Walz for the decline of “The Gopher State.”
