Ethen Frank added his second NHL goal as Washington won consecutive games for the first time since before the Christmas break.

WASHINGTON -- Logan Thompson made 19 saves, and the Washington Capitals extended their point streak to eight games with a 3-0 win against the Anaheim Ducks at Capital One Arena on Tuesday.

Terry returns after missing three games for the birth of his child, but Logan Thompson makes 18 saves and the Ducks get blanked for the second time in three games, 3-0.

Logan Thompson stopped all 18 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season to help the Washington Capitals beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-0. Thompson improved to 19-2-3 since joining the Capitals, who have won two in a row.
