US Olympic sprinter Fred Kerley was arrested Thursday for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend, fellow Olympian Alaysha Johnson, at a Florida hotel. TMZ reported Kerley struck Johnson in the face. He was scheduled to compete in the Grand Slam Track event but now faces legal consequences from the incident.

A Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest report says that Fred Kerley, 29, allegedly hit Alaysha Johnson with a closed fist at a hotel in the 1800 block of Griffin Road in Dania Beach on Thursday.
