WILLIAMSPORT, PA (WFSB) - Fairfield National beat Hawaii 5-1 in the second round of the Little League World Series Friday evening. They had defeated a team from Richmond, TX on Wednesday night, 1-0. The tournament is comprised of 10 teams from the United States and 10 from around the world.

Fairfield exploded for five runs in the top of the fifth inning to beat Hawaii in the Little League World Series.

Fairfield National is now just one win away from the U.S. Championship at the Little League World Series, riding a big sixth inning to a 13-1 win over South Dakota on Monday evening. The Connecticut representatives have now won three straight games and remain in the United States Winner's Bracket.
