Israel and Iran exchange fresh attacks a day after Tehran said it would not negotiate over its nuclear programme.

British foreign minister David Lammy will head to Geneva on Friday for nuclear talks with Iran and European counterparts, racing to press for a diplomatic solution over Tehran’s nuclear programme, his office said on Thursday.

European officials urged Iran to restrict its nuclear program hoping for off-ramp from conflict before President Trump decides whether to join Israel’s bombing campaign.
