A manhunt is underway after the Harris County Sheriff's Office said an inmate was "mistakenly released" from jail over the weekend. Troy Dugas, 36, was released from the Harris County Jail around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday after personnel mistakenly believed he was eligible for release, according to preliminary information from the sheriff’s office.

For the second time this year, a clerical error at the county jail in Houston has led to the accidental release of an inmate facing felony charges, authorities said.
