According to Spotrac, the Colts are on the younger side, with Chris Ballard's roster ranking 13th in average age at 26.0 years old. The Packers once again have the NFL's youngest roster at 25.3 years of age, while the Commanders have the oldest at 27.7 years old on average.

The Indianapolis Colts' linebacker unit ranks near the bottom of Pro Football Focus' rankings ahead of the 2025 NFL season. PFF's Dalton Wasserman recently ranked all 32 linebacker units, and coming in at No. 31--just ahead of the Tennessee Titans --were the Colts.

If there is an unknown with this unit, it comes with the defensive tackle depth, where the Colts very much need more production behind Buckner and Stewart. To hopefully accomplish that, Ballard has made some new additions, which includes signing Neville Gallimore and drafting Tim Smith.
