The University of Arizona's pedigree for producing great athletes isn't limited to the school's 18 scholarship varsity sports. NASCAR driver Kurt Busch may have never suited up in red and blue, but his time as a student at Arizona fueled his racing career.

Drivers Kurt Busch, Ray Hendrick and Harry Gant were voted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Tuesday, while executive Humpy Wheeler was named the Landmark Award winner for his contribution to the sport.

Kurt Busch said he was in "race mode" again Tuesday, awaiting the anxious moment of hearing the Hall of Fame's call for the Class of 2026.
