According to police, the incident happened around 9 p.m. Thursday, as the truck sped down Harbor Island Drive, went through two intersections and entered the San Diego Bay.

On April 10 at 9:05 p.m., the Port of San Diego Harbor Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle in the water off the southern edge of Harbor Island.

A vehicle rescue was underway Thursday night at San Diego's Harbor Island. The incident happened near the 900 block of Harbor Island Drive and was first reported just after 9 p.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
