Texas House Democrats who fled their state to stall a Republican redistricting effort returned on Monday, ending their 15-day holdout. Democrats returned to Austin on Monday about an hour before the House was set to convene.

Democratic Texas state Rep. Nicole Collier refused to come to the state Capitol for two weeks. Collier was among dozens of Democrats whose walkout to Illinois, Massachusetts and New York delayed the passage of redrawn congressional maps sought by President Donald Trump.
