Honda Cars India has slashed the price of its City e:HEV hybrid by nearly Rs 1 lakh. Exclusively sold in one fully-loaded ZX variant, the Honda City hybrid is now priced at Rs 19.90 lakh, ex-showroom.

The strong hybrid City only comes with an e-CVT automatic transmission and is offered in two broad variants. The price of the ZX R variant has been hiked by Rs 20,000 for both variants of the sedan.

Honda claims impressive fuel efficiency of 26.5 kmpl and a range of 1,000 km for the City hybrid, surpassing the standard variant of City petrol variant with CVT gearbox, which delivers 18.4 kmpl.

The ex-showroom price has risen by Rs 29,900, bringing the new total to Rs 20.85 Lakh (ex-showroom). Nevertheless, the Honda City e:HEV still serves as a premium option in the mid-size sedan category.
