Lando Norris has taken aim at the media for asking “too many questions” about the competitiveness of his McLaren F1 car. Norris and his McLaren team had already been labelled as the pre-season title favourites before he impressively won a chaotic, rain-hit season-opening Australian Grand Prix.

Norris claimed the 10th pole position of his F1 career, pipping Piastri to the top spot in front of the Australian's home crowd. The suspicion in the paddock is that at more conventional circuits, McLaren 's four-tenth advantage will be even more significant.
