New episodes of the My Hero Academia prequel series will stream the same day it airs in Japan. Though the main My Hero Academia anime series is set to end later this year, its gritty prequel is about to make its streaming debut on Crunchyroll.

Along with dropping a teaser trailer and new visuals for the spin-off series, Crunchyroll has announced that My Hero Academia: Vigilantes will begin streaming on 7th April 2025 – so not long to wait!

Vigilantes takes place years before the events of the main series, and follows a trio of underground heroes who illegally start fighting criminals to protect their town when the heroes don’t show up.

A prequel to My Hero Academia will be released on Crunchyroll outside Asia on April 7. The series, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, follows Koichi Haimawari as he becomes a vigilante. The anime is produced by Bones Film and directed by Kenichi Suzuki.
