Meta scored a hit with its Ray-Ban collaboration – glasses that fit with the style of the brand but incorporate a camera. Now several sources indicate Meta is preparing the next step, codenamed Project Hypernova, which will incorporate a hidden display visible only to the wearer of the glasses.

Not only could these new AR glasses arrive sooner than expected, they are also rumored to be cheaper than expected.

Meta’s smart glasses with a display may be launching next month with a cost that is less than $1,000 to $1,400 which was assumed before. Reportedly, the device will launch at $800 and has been codenamed Hypernova.
