Six residents were displaced after a house fire on Palmetto Street in Norfolk Friday evening. At approximately 7:50 p.m., crews with Norfolk Fire-Rescue responded to 1524 Palmetto Street in reference to a report of a residential structure fire.

Fire crews said they saw smoke and flames coming from the front door of the house on Palmetto Street in Norfolk.

Three people including a firefighter were injured after a fire Friday morning, Norfolk Fire& Rescue said. The house fire happened in the 1200 block of Courtney Avenue around 8:29 a.m. When crews arrived, they found heavy flames coming from the second floor.
