Finish telecommunications firm Nokia on Monday announced a global go-to-market partnership with the digital business and IT services company NTT DATA to advance Private 5G transformation in key sectors such as airports and smart cities.

Having combined for years without ever formalising the affair, Nokia and NTT DATA have made their private 5G relationship official with a global RAN sales deal.

Nokia and NTT Data have partnered to deploy Private 5G across the city of Brownsville in Texas. The city first selected NTT to deploy Private 5G wireless connectivity in September this year. NTT Data has now partnered with Nokia as part of their wider collaboration to advance Private 5G in key sectors such as airports and smart cities.
