Capcom's triumphant return to the Onimusha franchise felt pretty rote in a short demo -- until the outstanding boss fight.

Capcom’s Onimusha series has been on a long hiatus. Combining Resident Evil-style rendered backgrounds with more agile characters, adding in demons, magic and a feudal Japan setting, the series span multiple sequels — and consoles — til the fourth entry in 2006.

Chijiko: a grotesque mass of human faces with tentacles. The hero Musashi Miyamoto must face these horrors using swords, bows, soul absorption, and Oni powers. The new trailer shows him in action, wielding both a classic sword and a double-edged long blade, as well as showcasing the enhanced use of the bow in combat.
