Shannon “SJ” Joslin, a wildlife biologist at Yosemite National Park, has been fired after hanging a transgender pride flag at the park earlier this year.

Joslin claimed that a temporary deputy superintendent fired them on Aug. 12 for “failing to demonstrate acceptable conduct” within their capacity as a wildlife biologist for the park.

Yosemite National Park officials and the U.S. Justice Department are investigating other Yosemite visitors and workers who violated restrictions on demonstrations.
