Two German fighter jets were scrambled to the Romanian-Ukrainian border on Tuesday night in response to a Russian drone attack in the frontier region.

A Russian drone strike on the northeastern city of Okhtyrka in Sumy Oblast left 12 people injured, including two children, local authorities reported on Aug. 20.

Russia launched a "massive drone strike" on the southern Ukrainian region of Odesa, injuring one person and causing a large fire at a fuel and energy facility, Ukraine's State Emergency Service said on Wednesday.
