Since the fall of Bashar Assad’s government in early December Saudi Arabia and Qatar have been main backers of the country’s new leadership.

A 38-year-old was arrested and taken to hospital due to a self-inflicted injury after the incident in Otley Road, Leeds, on Saturday, police said.
