North Texas will dry out heading into the weekend with sunny skies and seasonal temperatures. For the second-straight day, a heat advisory is in effect for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to the east, until 7 p.m. Once again, feels like temperatures will reach as high as 108 on Tuesday afternoon.

Slight rain chances will start Monday, but South Texas rainfall will become more widespread by the second half of the week.

Issued on Aug. 4 and valid from Aug. 10-14, the outlook is predicting above normal rainfall for about half of the state, including the Metroplex and parts of Central Texas. Everything west of the two regions has chances for “near normal” rainfall.
