LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- President Trump is calling for even more expanded deportation operations in several major cities across the country, including Los Angeles.

Waymo said it had temporarily halted service in downtown Los Angeles after several of its cars were torched during protests.

Waymo has suspended service of its ride-hailing service in downtown Los Angeles after its vehicles were set on fire during protests against immigration raids in the area.

A TikTok user posted a video and said, "Waymo will be offering free rides all immigrants attending the riots protests in LA."

The self-driving car company told Newsweek that they were "in touch with law enforcement" after protests in Los Angeles saw some vehicles set on fire.

The protesters in Los Angeles were outraged after ICE, using brutal tactics, began detaining people in raids across the city. Thousands of Angelenos took to the streets over the weekend to confront the masked federal enforcers and, in some cases, forced them away.

Alphabet-owned robotaxi company Waymo is limiting service due to Saturday’s scheduled nationwide “No Kings” protests against President Donald Trump and his policies.
