#Ascomycete cup fungi are lined with millions of microscopic needle-shaped sacs (called asci) full of spores. They are pressure sensitive, so when they get hit with a gust of wind (or in this case me blowing on them), the spore sacs rupture, squirting a cloud of spores into the air to be carried on air currents.
