@scaredencounter on Instagram: "The 2011 Tuscaloosa–Birmingham tornado was one of the most significant natural disasters in recent U.S. history. It occurred on April 27, 2011, during a large weather event that affected much of the southern United States. The tornado reached EF4 strength, with very high wind speeds, and traveled for more than 80 miles (130 km) through Alabama. The storm passed directly through Tuscaloosa and continued toward Birmingham, leaving behind a long path of major damage.
