Mark Donohue was special, which is why he is in the inaugural class of the Trans Am Hall of Fame. Donohue was the driver to beat in Trans Am for four seasons, although the record books don’t fully represent Donohue’s greatness as the series only awarded manufacturer championships until 1972.
